"I had been climbing for awhile, it was good to have reached the top so I could let my lungs catch up. It's so interesting that the city's beauty grows the farther from the people you get. I like being up here..it's a welcome respite. I know this work will never be over, but moments like this are about as much of a reward as I can get for what I do. At this height, the constant traffic is little more than a dull whisper joining the sound of the city breathing; the wind rushing between the buildings.
The sturdy backpack I carry holds the various tools that I use. I set up the tripod for my uplink, and angle it above the buldings. The drone's pretty quick to warm up, after a few seconds of mechanical whirring, I have it hundreds of feet above the city, the perfect thing for people who think they go unseen in their lofty penthouses. I believe in full disclosure of those in power. Everyone needed to see it.
The crosswinds this high up can be a little jarring for a drone this size, but it's well built and I can compensate for it.
After a night like this, it's a waiting game for the public to act on what I have. Then the world can be a little better. But for now, I worry about the way down, farther from safety and closer to the people."
