Isabelle Sheridan is the Talwyn master of ice. She is far more serious and combat oriented than Lauren, and often during their training saw her as a rival of sorts. Where Lauren is studious, Isabelle the more physical of the two spent much of her time training in combat styles.

After. The prequel comic shows when Lauren received her powers, it is assumed Isabelle was chosen by the Ice Master some time later. The masters in a rotating schedule at a certain point are allowed to choose their successors, and unless you pick a total douche your selection is rarely challenged. It has happened, though.
