What did she face that left such huge scars, anyway? I don't remember if you mentioned that already.

Didn't have a specific incident in mind, really! But I do imagine she's been at the whole superhero thing for quite a while, and being without any major healing or durability-related powers, it's taken quite a toll to the point where she's mostly steel rods and scar tissue.

Of course, she's still incredibly fast and strong, thanks in part to intense training in ancient martial arts, as well as the superheavy weights, so she can still hold her own against the best of 'em.
