The background for this is what really catches my eye. x3 That's an amazing blue. And I love the texture of her hair.

It's actually just three markers that I used for the background: Light Sky Blue, Light Cerelean Blue and Cerelean Blue and then I just blended them together with either the Light Sky Blue or Light Cerelean Blue :)

Genius! XD Haha. I actually have those markers. I kind of want to start experimenting with those pretty, wash-like backgrounds you do . They add so much character to the... character. >>;

*nods* They're pretty simple to do :) Like for this one, I coloured it in Light Sky Blue first, then I used Light Cerelean Blue but I didn't go right up to the character, just leaving a little space, but I coloured up to the edge of the card. Then I coloured over the whole thing with Light Sky Blue again, and makes the edges of the Light Cerelean Blue "fuzz" and blend a bit. Then I coloured outside of the card with the regular Cerelean Blue, and coloured over that with the Light Cerelean, fuzzing the edges of that. Sometimes I colour and shade it again till I get it looking how I want it to look :)

If you have scrap bristol board around, just practice on that first. It pretty much does the same effect for any gradient colours of markers you use :)

They are called 'hands-free head-sets', though I think the 'head-set' part is optional.
