I got the wonderful idea to repaint my daughter's drawings after seeing a handful of like-minded paintings by the fabulous Illustrator, Dave Devries.
Now that my daughter is old enough to draw out her imagination, I've been gobbling-up her drawings and I plan to paint as many of them as I can!
I want to put a background into this one, but I'll have to wait until I have more time...

She was excited to see the result. She's used the computer to color, and has even used my tablet (which is easier for a child to use than a mouse, which is disconnected from the real act of drawing). But all in all, she looked at it, set it down and went back to her princess dolls lol!
Check out Dave Devries' website, under "Monster Engine". I first saw one of his re-tooled paintings in Spectrum 11, and I was hooked on the idea immediately. However, I've had to wait for Kyleigh's drawing skills to develop enough to put pen to paper!
