This is the introduction of Karrl Havok, chief badass of M.E.S.S. It was also the introduction of phone tigress, a mostly unsung heroine of the group that helps keep morale up in her own bouncy way. Karrl was always intended by me to be a sort of tragic hero/antagonist of the group early on.
As for designing Karrl, he was supposed to look massive and rugged. Since he was a furry I couldn't give him a beard or moustache, so instead her got fuzzy lips. Oh, and for the final record to set this straight for all who may be unsure of it... Karrl is a wolfverine. A wolf wolverine hybrid.
