Commemorating this month's heat wave :) it hit 101 degrees (farenheit) here today.

Doing the hotfoot honors today is Backlash's character Zak, finding out just how cheaply-made flip-flops can get, this pic was an impromptu production, penciled and inked in a couple of hours (I saved editing time by brush-inking it) and colored between work assignments (gives thanks for the air-conditioned office). Biggest digital assist here is for the big-box store in the background--originally freehanded, but replaced with straight lines, and the subtle heat distortion applied to the background.

I don't know how he's gonna get across that boiling hot parking lot, but it's a sure bet it'll be with due haste :D
