So, I've been in art school since September 2 and what do I have to show for it?
Yeah, this is it. Sorry, all my school work is in my locker in Chicago.
I mentioned this in my last journal. It is the beginning of my as of now unnamed webcomic. The main character is the girl in the first panel. My first objective was to make her as much of a stereotypical goth as possible. Then I decided to make her a mary-sue, too. So apparently, this comic is going to be about me if I were a skinny goth chick. This project has FAIL written all over it. 8D Anyways, I'll be posting this here until I get myself a nice personal website.
This was actually going to be the third strip in the series, but the first was bashing Twilight, and I didn't like the idea of the first in the series bashing Twilight because that'd be lame for several reasons (first and formost reason is because Twilight never deserves to be first in anything unless it's a list of FAIL). Fear not! The anti-Twilight comic is coming next Monday!
The idea for this strip came from my fundamentals teacher. We were looking at examples for our next project, and he was looking at a particularly optical illusion-ish example, and said something akin to what ended up in the comic. Oh, and I may go back in and add some shading tomorrow. Maybe.
There are a couple reasons I've decided to undertake this. First, I want to get better at drawing. I want my own style. I want to motivate myself and get things done (and I need deadlines for that). But it's also partially because I want to have fun and prove to the internet that I'm a retard. 8D
