“Come on, Claire! We have to have at least one current picture of us together, don’t we?” Ripley continued to follow her sister around, practically begging. Claire stopped and turned to her, hoping to finally get her sister to stop bothering her. “I’ve been busy with my own commitments. Besides, you know that I don’t get along with still shot photography.”
“Oh? A camera flash is the issue?” Ripley responded, oblivious to the degree of annoyance seething from Claire. “Not to worry! Mom already had R&D develop a new camera flash alternative. Isn’t that great?”
“Sure... I’ll take a wild guess that you have it on you right now.” Claire huffed, her arms folded.
Ripley was shocked at her sister’s guess. “How did you know?” Claire rolled her eyes. “I saw the poorly cloaked drone hovering behind you.”
Not wanting to give up on the opportunity, Ripley tried appealing to Claire’s other sensibilities. “This is for your own good, sis,” she said with an uncharacteristically solemn tone, “we either do this now, or end up as elves for the Rees Co. ‘Holiday Holo-Card.”
Spending a week with Ripley in a fake snow-globe as a glorified midget was far worse than a couple minutes taken out of her day now. With little choice, Claire conceded. “Fine,” she said in a huff, “just do something ‘sisterly’ and let’s get this over with.”
Ripley grabbed Claire’s shoulder and squeezed tight. “Say ‘Notice me, Senpai!” She smiled coyly, flashing her hand in the air.
“Is the ‘V fingers’ sign really necessary?” Claire asked, wanting the ordeal over with.
“Yes, Claire-Ane.” Ripley smiled as the camera flashed. Good Enough.
