Actually there is. D: As stated by  idol-monkey, Zinc is one of those human-turned-slime experiments. Since then, she's been on the run from similar creatures as herself attempting to capture her, thus, she attacks any slime girl she runs into. That is, that sorta changed when she met the usually docile Kia, who is not exactly aware of the scope of Zinc's predicament.
