i loved that musical, the fact that he got Richard Burton to do the voice over work for it was brilliant! and the sound Jeff Wayne made for the aliens was very haunting.

Great rendition of the Wayne style fighting machine. As I grew up listening to the album, for me this is the DEFINITE martian war machine. The ones from the 50s version and the Spielberg film are both well designed, yet neither are half as meanacing as the Wayne tripods. I also like the Wayne style Handling machines with the massive claws.
