'Sally looked up from the blueprints spread out on her bed. She could hear her friends outside, laughing and cutting up around a campfire, watching the sun set in the distance. Over the last hour they tried five times to persuade her to join them. She couldn't. There was another mission tomorrow, they were going to attempt to sabotage one of Robotnik's scrap processing factories. She couldn't afford to take it easy. Lives would be at stake. She was responsible for the mission, responsible for everyone's safety, responsible... if the plan was a failure.
She hadn't left her hut in eight hours. Rotor brought her some food, but she wasn't hungry. -She couldn't eat anything before a mission. The long hours were getting her. Her right hand started to shake from the stress. She could feel the bags forming under her eyes. Last night after brushing her hair she glanced down at the brush and noticed several gray hairs... It terrified her. She was only eighteen. She could hardly remember a time when she wasn't taking charge of the group of Freedom Fighters she was responsible for. She wanted more than anything else in the world to leave this all behind and spend her time with her friends, carefree, boasting of their victorys, enjoying her youth... But that wouldn't happen. She was their leader, she was responsible for them.
It was the price she paid, her sacrifice, so that her future children would be able to live the life she never would.'
