sweetness. very nicely composed, and I love that short little guitar line towards the end... I can't get over it, though... I keep thinking how much better it would be if the sounds weren't so... static. not a fault of your own, mind you, but I just kind of wish they weren't :3 either way, nice job.

The sounds a pretty gorgeous for midi sounds. Did you do this in Sibelius?

I really dig your orchestration. It has space and groove. though I thikn that your downbeat conga groove kind of anchors it too much. If you had shifted the pattern to the upbeats, it might have been a more driving groove.

Oh, and by the way, it was supposed to be anchored and not driving. :) The topic is lazing around in the grass. The percussion was the ground, the guitar was the sun, the woodwinds were the wind.

Heh, yeah, afro-cuban percussion is pretty earthy. Good choice for good reasons! Though maybe "driving" was the wrong word to use. "Floaty" is also wrong. If you haven't already, give my suggestion a try and see how you like it. If anything, the groove will sound more authentically latin and make the song a little more chilled-out and breezy. :)
