Here's a beautiful Ford Customline I found at a recent car show.
And you get a bonus self-portrait of your humble photographer reflected in the bumper.
I've made a hobby of photographing cars close up. I love the distorted reflections in the chrome of great old cars. At car shows, I'm the guy sitting on the ground with my camera, getting the right angle on a bumper, grille, or hub cap.

That can be difficult in curved surfaces. And there are so many people around at car shows, it's nearly impossible to remove everyone, so I try not to worry about it and concentrate on other aspects of the shot. Maybe that's just me being lazy...
Getting the owner of the car in my 1940 Ford Coupe photo was completely intentional. I think it's something I will try for in the future if the owners are willing.
As for my own reflection, the distortion gives me the opportunity to do a self-portrait, yet preserve my anonymity. I kind of like it in this particular photo.

Yeah, definitely can be tricky. Only way would be a tripod and a timer.
But this looks fine. =3 I wasn't at all saying it was bad or anything. And yeah, have to expect people at car shows. :)
I just personally hate seeing myself in any photos. XD I'm always interested in seeing anyone else in them, however.

Yeah, I know a few people who can't stand seeing photos of themselves. I've come to accept that, to quote Popeye, "I yam what I Yam and that's all that I yam." And, hey, if I do it right, I can look 50 pounds lighter reflected in a car bumper! Or I can blame my paunch on the curve of a hubcap.
