The whole layout reminds me of a concept picture I've seen of something. Was it a MaK? I don't remember exactly, but it was in that Future Warriors mecha model hobbyist magazine from, like, the Eighties?

Diggin' the simple construction of that rifle.

I'd been thinking more of the Clan "Elementals" in Battletech, They're sort of smaller personal suits, vaguely equivalent to the MaK suits - but I was mostly thinking of the deep-sea-diving suit styled looks.

I can't even recall just what it was, but the posing just screams a familiarity most fierce. Hell, I could just be confusing the MaK connection.

Any other mechanized suit illustrations crossed your mind since then?

I don't think I was going off any one thing - again, I was trying for Clan Elemental/MaK style stuff, but the big full body opening thing really sticks in my mind as a Shirow thing (I think of MaK suits having more of the top hatch opening, which kinda goes with the claustrophobic retro-WWII tech feel I think.

Looks good! IRL, giant mecha are probably out but things in this size range are probably going to happen someday.
