This was the second one I came across from 1995-1996, same crappy paints even. The car in the background there was my first Fiero, a 1988 GT. I bought this car before I even had my license when I was barely 15 lol

This is the prime time to get one, when one pops up for sale they are usually under $5000 in great shape with the mileage in the low 100,000 range. The notchbacks are really cheap though, a good one will only set you back $3000. I've owned both and I do give the nod to the notchbacks even though they don't look as good. Its just that they weight a good 200lbs less and you can really feel it when you push the car hard. :)
True, and I have seen quite a few things that you can still get for them, especially here: http://www.fierostore.com/ My problem is that I am as broke as broke can get. One of my plans would be to drop in a crate LS motor, or rebuild the V6 or drop in a 4.3L V6. But of course I have to get the money first. As always.
Doesn't have to be a LS crate or 4.3L. One of the cheaper swaps is the 3.8L out of a Grand Prix. Between 200-250hp from either the na or supercharged 3.8L. Plus the engine has a huge aftermarket backing. Find a cheap non running Fiero for 300-500 bucks and use it as weekend project car ;) I know what you mean about the empty wallet, I've been like that for a while so it takes a while for me to buy anything new for my current Fiero :(
