Mass Effect Fanon : Argus the space pirate
A concept art of a character I play with
Sinigre on a regular basis; taking place in the 2220's, it revolves around the adventures of Argus and his crew, the Black Betty Pirates, as they roam the Terminus Systems and the Attican Traverse.
I know a male Asari seemingly makes no sense but it has a justification in my fanon and the stories I plan to write around him; Argus, along with eleven other specimens, were created by a team of Salarian scientists for reasons I won't relay here, as it would be a major spoiler. That condition was his main motivation to become a pirate, as it made him both an outcast to the Asari... And a rogue experiment on the loose to the Salarian.
As a potent biotic, he uses his sword in a similar fashion the Cerberus Phantoms and the N7 Slayers do : rather than use it as a regular melee weapon (which would make little sense in a context where particle guns are the norm), he uses it to deliver powerful biotic pushes able to hit multiple targets at once. Though I *do* admit that at first, I mainly wanted to give him such a weapon because, well, it has a pretty cool pirate vibe. The sword and longcoat kinda give him a Captain Harlock sort of look, don't you think ?
Also, those shells in his bandoleer are in fact meant to be thermal clips for his Shuriken SMG.

The Mass Effect franchise and the Asari race belong to BioWare/EA Games; Argus is mine.
