No idea... let's just say it's a metaphorical representation of hearts in general.

ah, usually when I draw things like that, its cuz im inspired to do so XD.
So if my friend just got a break up, and they were heart broken, the person would be fixing my friend's heart, just as an example.
Very nice though :)

Well, I'm working on a "100 Theme" challenge, where I have a word or phrase and have to draw a picture with it. The phrase was "broken pieces", hence the title. The broken heart idea just came to me.
