THE photo of the day of THE aeroplane of the Air Museum of Toulouse...
The Messerschmitt Bf-109 was a WWII German fighter whose the first variants were built from 1935 and used during the Spanish War by the Legion Condor. Later, the Emil (Bf-109E) were used against Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the UK before to be replace by the Friedrich, one of the best 109 built.
The Gustav variant was the most built and the most used (without counting the Focke Wulf) against the allied bomber which were destructing the German cities. It's from 1942, with the arrivel of the Spitfire Mk.IX and of the LA-5, that the Gustav entered in service until May 1945. At the beginning of the year 1944, a new strategy was thought, the FW-190 were heavily armed for attack the bombers when the 109 were less armed for fight against the escorts fighters.
This one is a HA1112 owned by Airbus Germany and which received a new engine hood for welcome an original Daimler-Benz engine.

Actually, after some research, I've that it was originaly an HA1112 motorised by a RR Merlin, it's engine hood was modified for get a new time a Daimler Benz engine, so, technically, it's a HA1112 modified for be a Bf-109 G2.
Sorry for being that stubborned...
Sorry for being that stubborned...
Absolutly not a G6
