A while ago you told me you avoided today's scifi in preference of older and more alter-native scientific fiction.
Only now do I - having been flooded in Lessons on The Nature of Paper - remember enough to ask:
Could you, would you name one or more of those Science-shaped stories deserving of mention though left unmentioned?

If you only read two more books the rest of your life in regard to Sci-Fi ...I highly recommend:
-Nightwings- by Robert Silverberg ISBN: 0-380-41467-8
-The Humanoids- by Jack Williamson ISBN: ? Copyright 1948
These books are pure and pure science fiction is timeless. That is all I can say.

The more i stare at this, the more i find interesting symmetries and repeated elements. Some interesting composition going on here. And apophenia is showing me a lion head in profile on the near mountain range behind the seeing eyestalk dude. Lines of the lion and direction of the eyeballs line of sight. Interesting that there are three eyes. Threes of so many elements.. Hmm.. But i blather! :)
I love it when you blather! Actually it's quite heartening to know that someone is *really* looking at the art. I put a lot of work into this piece and pretty much nobody (but you) really looked at it with any depth. That gives me hope, Hawse! I really wanted to build something with a bit of symbolism and interesting elements that keep eyeballs (and you know I love eyeballs) in the picture. Thanks so much Hawse for taking the time to make such cool observations!
