Does everyone remember Sic?

Well, she is being redeisgned. Quite dramatically.
She is still a dobe, but her colours and attitude are changing.
She is going to be darker, more intense, more serious.
Why?
Because she was created at a time when I was very into the colour pink, sparkly things, blondeness and being girly (I'll always have that over the top glam chick thing going on, and sometimes I bring it out on nights out, its like a character I put on and off depending on my mood).
But yes, Sic was designed to show that side.....but I was never really happy with it being my doberman who represented that. I think it was a mistake using a doberman to show that side of me.
To me, dobes say stoic, intense, industrial. They mean a lot to me as a breed, and its deeper than Sic's character suggested.
In short, it just didn't fit her.
Particularly since she was supposed to live in the same dead city as Calx, it just didn't seem that the girly pink-ness was appropriate for that character or setting.
So, because I don't want to obliterate that side of me completely as its still very much there, I thought to make a whole new, more 'fitting' character to express my girly side, and use Sic in a more serious way.
I toyed with smaller, fluffier dog breeds, even foxes and such, but to be honest.....I have 2 canine characters that are me: sic and memphis.
Thats enough.
Time to branch out. There are lots of animals I feel close to, and it was an opportunity to use one of those.
So, I don't officially have a cat fursona yet, and yet cats are one of my favourite animals. I've had cats since I was 8.
So, to illustrate something pink and fluffy and sparkly and girly, what better than a kitty? They seem to have much more slinky, exotic, fluffy, girlyness to them than canines.
I used to own a maine coon, Toby, who died this year. They're one of my favourite breeds, so, as a kind of tribute to him, this girly is a maine coon too.
The best part? She has an alter ego who loves death, bones, gore and horror movies. I'll draw her later :P
She likes all the things my more girly side dictates I like.
Bear in mind, she is DELIBERATELY overly girly and twinkly. She is one side of my quite erratic personality.
This is just a quick pic to get my idea down, but she probably won't change much. Her markings are based on the markings of my cat, Basil.
Proper ref for her coming eventually.
Several photo refs used, from google and from my own photos of Toby.
Twinkle kitties and sparkledogs, oh my....

Oh God, my eyes almost bled from the amount of pink and sugar sweetness going on in here... and yet somehow it's still pretty awesome. Probably because I'm a crazy cat lady. ... why you do this. Why can I not hate this. I'M TRYING SO HARD AND I CAN'T HATE THIS - WHY ZIGGY, WHY?!
OK now that I got the silliness out - you did a really good job on making this actually LOOK like a cat, which is something you don't see a lot of folks (SELF INCLUDED) nailing. Especially impressed with the body language of the arch of the back and the tail; you might not have done it on purpose and it's one of those things that probably only crazy cat ladies would pick up on, but it's the kittycat "OH - HAI! I friendly, you pet me now?" posture.
Great work A++ and a gold star sticker!
