Low fire clay, glazes, and underglazes. About 6 x 5 x 4 inches.
This small box was inspired by those ancient Roman sarcophagi with the parades of people around the sides. Anthro animals fit better in this format than feral ones, and to make the theme of the box happy (instead of funerary) I made the animals dancing with each other. The fish on the lid are just for decoration though.
When I constructed this box I originally was going to use it for something less nice, so its rectangular-ness and the fit of the lid both leave something to be desired. The lid does have "feet" on the inside to hold it in place so it doesn't slip off. The box is clear glazed on inside.
I am theoretically willing to sell this piece, but not for cheap - so I won't be surprised if nobody wants it. I put a lot of time into it and am not willing to let it go for less than $150.
