Really, I don't know how you decided to do this sort of theme for your avatars but I must say I'm glad you did because as far as I've seen they're really turned out rather fantastic. The only downside I can see is that the smaller size of the icon makes it cut off some excellent detail.

Honestly, marvelous work all around. The facial detail and the expression are superb, the clothing has a great grasp of realism especially for the time period, and the lighting is remarkable at giving the whole image a very unique look. The entire thing comes across as an old-fashioned painted portrait.

Thanks for sharing the full-sized image, it'd be a shame if people only got to see the icon with all the work you clearly put into it. Although now I don't know whether to encourage you to change your icon more often so we can see more work like this or tell you to never surrender this because it simply looks so good.

It was an anime back in the 80's about an anthro lion who dares to...well you know. There's a dear on his travels that looks very simalar to your character (which by the way looks ingenious)!
