Illustration of my "ship"...the USS DaVinci, NCC-74671. It's the local chapter of Starfleet International (SFI for short; obviously a Star Trek fan organization). From what I've been told, the DaVinci was launched around the time "Star Trek: Voyager" was on TV. Seems a lot of SFI "ships" from that time period are Intrepid class.
This is a Very Old bit of art. Years ago (almost a decade) I started drawing on a page in my red sketchbook. Recently I dragged the book out of a storage box and decided to finish the drawing. It was mostly done except for a few details. So...here it is.
The obvious flaws make me /eyetwitch, but I still wanted to post it (mistakes and all).
Ink on paper, acid free.
NOTE:
The SFI chapter USS DaVinci launched as a "shuttle" (baby club under the wing of an established "ship") in 1995. It became a full-fledged "ship" in 1996. As such, it predates the USS DaVinci of the Star Trek novels (Corps of Engineers series, or something like that; I don't read the novels). Just stating this so avoid confusion between the fanclub and the book series.
