I don't know if it should have scutes on its hands or feet, though:

Wouldn't also make more sense for an aquatic animal to have a thick sea lion-like pelage or entire naked skin?

I'm quite aware of the scutes thing. See: Most of my actual theropods.

This isn't an actual theropod, it's not even a real animal at all. This is me practicing techniques that I can apply to other things,really.
