Hi guys so here’s the situation! I’ve been unemployed and living off my art for over six months since I was let go from my previous job. It hasn’t been all bad as I’ve had a government payment to fall back on when things get rough, and I’ve been making do while I search for work. Long story short, the government has changed some stuff around to the point where I can no longer get my payment unless I commit myself to 50 hours of manual labour a fortnight. I get no extra payments with doing this work, so I’d be basically working a very demanding job for a third of the minimum wage. On top of that I’m mentally ill and have leg and back problems that make it so I can barely stand for hours on end, let alone work a very physical job in a warehouse.

So basically, as it stands, I will most probably be cancelling my payment and that means I’ll be on my art full time. Which..sucks. But maybe it won’t suck too much! This is my first time opening commissions in a long time and I’m both and excited and nervous to get to work!
