To Stingmon village (Book 2 chapter 13)
Chapter 14 will likely be posted within the next couple of days. Again Kiya belongs to
Kiya Drakon And I hope you enjoy! I love writing these chapters as much as anyone would enjoy reading them!
To the Stingmon Village
It took them about a day and a half, But Scav, Kiya and Lyle finally made it on the Northern Shore. It only took a few minutes for the three travelers to get off the ship before Scav re-digitized it into his digivice. "There, I think we're in the North...right Lyle?"
Kiya's mouth was wide opened, it looked like the entire land of the North was encased in one thick forest. "This place is wild...I've never seen such a place like this."
Snickering, Lyle lifted both Scavenger and Kiya onto his back. "Of course. 95% Of the Northern region is forest. The remaining 5 percent is where Ebonwumon's shrine is located."
"That makes sense. So then each region has it's own defining trait." Scav commented, stretching a claw out over Lyle's back to touch one of the tree's and gasped when it started forming hands and walking away from him. "Ack! That tree just moved!"
Lyle couldn't help but laugh at Scav's reaction. "That's a Cherrymon. They're Ultimate level digimon, usually harmless but still they could knock your blocks off. As for your earlier comment, Yes, each region has it's own unique traits. For the west there were many small towns with one large one at it's center. The West is basically the largest in the digital world when it comes to progression. The East, where BLADE comes from is mostly mountainous regions. Small villages situated on opposing mountains, Digimon only leave their homes there to capture prey, or to prove their mettle."
Kiya tapped a claw to his belly, which started growling. "Know what...I'm hungry. What kind of digimon and food do they have in this land?"
"Well...Most of the digimon in the west were beast types. Such as Drimogemon and well my species. For the south here, it's Insect and plant type digimon. And as you two have probably already surmised, the warrior that is tasked with protecting and following Ebonwumon's direction here is a champion level. It's a Stingmon by the name of Flash. He's the fastest out of the four guardian champions." Lyle explained, stepping into the lush greenery that was the north region. He could see Deramon and Palmon poking their heads between bushes, some even hiding in the treetops.
Scav snickered, looking at Kiya and pointing at his digivice. "You still have that Ebidramon in your digivice, you could always eat that."
That made Kiya's eyes go wide, he pointed at his belly. "At this size I couldn't stomach something so large!"
"Well it doesn't look like you'll have to..." Lyle calmly replied, he kept at a steady stride through the forest path. "We're being followed, I smell Vegiemon..."
Scav blinked, sniffing the air and groaned a moment later. "They don't smell too good do they...We just saw Palmon hanging around, but now everything just sounds and looks peaceful."
Lyle nodded subtly, trying not to make to big a motion. "They're champion level digimon...and if they got their hands on any palmon they'd be lunch. Vegiemon are known to hunt digimon smaller than themselves, or WEAKER than themselves. Likely, they see the two of you as unique cuisine, being dragons and all."
"Hey! I may be classified as a dragon type, but I'm also a dino." Scav muttered with a laugh, before shrugging his shoulders. "In any case...we'll just have roasted veggies."
moments later, Scav could see several eyes glowing in the bushes and growled, flames already protruding from his jaws. He hopped off Lyle, as did Kiya, but it was only when the first wave of Vegiemon came out of hiding that they went on the attack.
Lyle growled, using a great paw to smack one of the Vegiemon aside, then clamped his jaws around a second, swallowing it in one mighty gulp. "These guys aren't corrupted with the Darkness. They're just hungry! The north is crawling with wild digimon, so unless you want to end up on the menu...I say we make a mad dash for it to the Stingmon village, it's one of the few civilized places of this land."
Scav had to agree, he grabbed ahold of one Vegiemon's vines and sent it bowling towards another pair, all three falling in a clean line. "I say we should too! There's too many for us to keep fighting."
There was a glow at Scavenger's side, Kiya had digivolved into his Green Coredramon form and grabbed Scav in one clawed hand and Lyle in the other before taking flight, quickly getting them away from their current situation. "They work together like they were a wolf pack. Any longer and I think we could have been in some real hot water."
Lyle cringed, looking down below and clutching at Kiya's claws in an attempt to secure his flight. "Ack! Was flying necessary?!"
The Green Cordramon looked down at Lyle, giving a small nod. "We're limited by what we can do here, being both digimon that can control fire, It's wiser to fly. There's a chance they could catch up to us if you were sprinting with us on your back, and we can't risk a forest fire and offending Ebonwumon."
"Agreed, Besides, we'll arrive in the Stingmon village faster this way." Scavenger replied, carefully scaling Kiya's claws and resting on his friends back. "Given Kiya doesn't run out of energy on the way."
Lyle tilted his head, yelping when Kiya lifted him onto the dragon's back alongside Scav. "Well...let's hope not. How long can you even stay in a digivolved state? I mean I assume it's unlike digimon who digivolve without the digivice."
Scavenger nodded, smirking. "In the human world, Max lacked a digivice to channel his digivolution. BUT even so he could only stay in a digivolved state for so long. longest he's ever remained in Champion was an hour at best. And as a Weregarurumon it was half that time."
"I'm hungry...and that hunger is sapping my strength, but judging on my condition I think I can remain a Coredramon for...I think about five more minutes. I need to work on my endurance in this form." Kiya admitted, flying lower as he looked in search of signs of developement.
Scav smiled wide, rubbing Kiya's back and recieving a murr of pleasure as a reward. "Continue to practice with digivolution, eventually you'll be able to remain a champion for as long as Max."
Lyle plopped down on Kiya's back, looking exhausted. He wasn't MADE to fly, he was made to run, yet here he was in the sky. "You have something going for you Max and the rest of your friends don't have. You have Baihumon's light he bestowed on the two of you. Mix that with the remaining three Soveriegns that we're to meet, you two might just be a force to be reckoned with."
"HEY WE'RE ALREADY A POWERFUL FORCE!" Both Dragons shouted simultaniously before Kiya began descending. Once he was able to make a safe landing, he reverted to his basic Dracomon form, lying flat on his stomach with Scav and Lyle piled ontop of him.
Both digimon crawled off Kiya, with Scav looking a bit concerned for his friend. "Hey Kiya...How about you eat me?"
That got Kiya's attention immediately, he turned to face Scav with a look of surprise. "Are you sure? This isn't like our world where I could just reform you...you'll be sent back to primary village."
"Our digivices. They have their own storage containers, when we're eaten...we're stored in there like our own private primary village. Besides I'd rather help you keep going than to be stuck in the wilds where we might end up a meal to some plants!" Scav pointed out, chuckling.
Kiya smirked, pulling himself up and putting his paws on Scav's shoulders. "Well I'm not one to turn down a meal. Just promise me you'll be okay." He waited for Scav to give the okay, then opened his maw wide, giving his friend a grand view of his pink, slimy internals. That tongue snaked out to taste over his friends face. "Mmmmm you know...you have a very citrus like taste..."
Scav grinned, feeling Kiya's warm breath washing over him as well as that tongue tasting and coating his face in the dragon's drool. "I've been told that once or twice."
"Well it's true..." Kiya grinned, before cramming Scav's head into his drooling jaws, and got to swallowing, hungrilly taking in his friend into his own body.
Feeling every lick, Scavenger couldn't help but giggle a bit, that tongue just tickled him, which was funny as in his normal DRAGON form he was difficult to tickle. "Gah! Curse this body and it's lack of discepline!" He laughed as Kiya started licking and teasing at his footpaws before pushing them into his human maw, it was then that Scav's descent into Kiya's stomach was set, he eventually curled up in the tight warm space, not that he was complaining.
With a small belch, Kiya began rubbing over his belly and sighed happily. "Thanks bud, I'll be sure to let you out with my digivice when we get to the Stingmon village." Almost immediately, Kiya took to digivolving into his Coredramon form again. He could hear the gurgles of digestion already beginning to work over his friend and lifted Lyle back up again. "alright, better hold on. And tell me which direction to steer."
"Damnit! Just when I thought my flying days were over..." Lyle mumbled, ears splayed to the side as the continued their flight over the thick forest.
Kiya only grinned, changing his angle of flight whenever Lyle informed him and held him firmly. "Oh come on...flying isn't so bad. Besides I miss it."
"Miss?" Lyle asked, but when he got no answer from Kiya he took a deep breath. "Alright, see how the tree's are starting to rise higher in the distance? There's where we need to be. The village is surrounded by the largest trees. You won't be able to see the village from above, the tree's act as a large canopy that shelters the area from flying predators. You'll have to land AWAY from it."
The Coredramon nodded, he started to slow his flying speed, angling downward so that they landed just outside of the villages protective walls. "You could have mentioned that. But I guess the rest of the way we'll have to walk. I'll stay in Coredramon form in case we need to boogie fast."
Lyle took a deep breath, glad that they were finally back on the ground and lead the way to the village. "Sounds good to me...but once we're there you'll have to revert to a rookie, less you want to upset the locals."
The rest of the walk was uneventful, the two remaining quiet save for a quiet humming from Lyle as they proceeded forward.
