Had you ever heard of the old Hunter's Myth of how a fox gets rid of fleas or ants that have gotten into it's pelt? The fox will grab up a stick in it's mouth, then slowly back tail first into a pond or creek. The Fleas not wanting to drown will climb up the Fox's back, up it's body, then to it's neck and head, until the fox is almost submerged with only it's snoot sticking up from the water. The pests, now all seeking refuge on the stick have no place else to go, and then the fox simply sets the stick with it's offensive passengers adrift.
I don't know how true the tale is, but it was the only thing I could think of involving foxes and water. I hope you find this little story amusing.
