I believe Tach will be writing a short story to go with these, but in short, Tiffany here is hard up for cash, and signed up to use these new collars that transfer excess food calories (presumably from restaurants, grocery stores, waste bins and the like) into the stomach of the wearer for some extra cash, for helping to prevent wasted food!

That red sensor means she turned off the safety switch, which limits the amount it will allow through in a day (something along those lines), and forgot to turn it back on when she went to sleep...
