Because as much as he may want to deny it, Trion was not always a cold, heartless bastard toward his children. However, as any member of the Kurie family will attest to, that was a very, VERY long time ago. That smile's long gone, with no hint of returning...

I felt like doing something cute. It actually amuses me how good of a relationship Trion had with Tojhie and Sekaci when they were younger, considering by the time the story comes around, he's already acting quite distant toward them. (And it's that much worse by the time the main story comes around six years later.) I never really draw anyone under the age of like, 12, so it was a bit of a challenge drawing a couple of toddlers. I think they both came out adorable though. (If you thought it was weird enough seeing Sekaci as a blonde, now you get to see her blonde with pigtails! *snerk*)

My main gripe is Trion's left arm; it's a tad too long. It'd also be fairly uncomfortable to hold a couple of kids like that (even if Trion is a pretty strong guy), but I was trying to come up with a way for him to carry both kids while keeping them both fairly visible. I think I'd like to go further with the coloring on this sometime, and if I do I'll make adjustments then. For now, I can't be bothered to fix it. XD Trion kinda looks more like their older brother than their father, too... but, he'd probably only be about mid-20s at this point, so.

This doesn't actually take place in Kurie Chronicles, but it's definitely a part of the family history, so it fits.

Celestials is a collab story/project between  azarian and myself. Not sure what the future holds for it, but for now it's mostly writing on his part and random doodles on mine. Celestials: Kurie Chronicles is a side-story describing some of the important events that occur between the Kurie family (and Lucas, upon his arrival) on the Maiden's Kiss before the start of the main story.
