Enma is the current ruler of hell and the youngest of the three deities that maintain the balance over the cosmos. As said he is current ruler with the original and previously ruler, known as king Yamma, killed by her own sister Death Yamma was becoming deranged as ruler over hell creating more chaos than he originally was supposed to and even tried to conquer the other realms at first. Yamma had created hell along with it demons, demonic dragons, imps, and archfiends who loyal serve him and torture souls of others for all eternity. In addition to that he was being of destruction often causing apocalypses on worlds when there time came.

But yamma wanted more than that, his greed and desire for power got worst over the millennia with him causing other worlds to end too soon than they should have with the sister disapproving of yamma and often warned him of consequences such as death herself taking yamma right eye andpermanently leaving a scar over his right eye/face for life. Despite this yamma secretly conspired her own sister wishes and continued to do so but in subtle way with him also desiring to rule over heavens and underworld eventually.

OF course one can push death so far as after her and her sister given him so many chances to redeem himself death decided to do something she never had to do. Yamma was slain by her own sister as death has the power to kill all living being mortal or other wordly and with her killing someone they stay dead forever as if never existed in first place. Though his soul and body were forever destroyed as anything killed by death stays dead and this no longer exist. However before she killed him she took his power knowing that with dead someone needed to rule over a head. Death and amaterusa put series of test to see which demon of hell would be worthy of ruling over hell. IN the End a young dragon who considered most powerful of all the demons and the smartest ended up victories and was bestowed the power of his former king.

This summery I just whipped up just for Enma and had fun doing it. Im not a story writer but I do enjoy making up ideas and background for others. Originally a large buff dragon who was supposed be older In appearance,  bloodceles and I chatted together and we really came up some great ideas that helped me. THANK BLOOD YOU ALWAYS HELPFUL

MUch like Yamma, enma himself has a scar upon his right eye upon recieving the power of his former king possibly. Enma over the milenia had taken hede not to over step his bounds as he afraid he would become like Yamma. Enma sees that souls are tortured as instructed by death and that he may cause the apocalypse and desctruction of worlds when it is time, if he doesnt much like yamma he would expect ramifications
