I placed shields around myself so no other could come near
I've felt them break by countless hands that did not fear
until they saw myself beneath and they did not like what they found
So I chained myself in mind, and denied the heart's sound
I devised triangles and pyramids that locked me alone as it's judge
until now and again someone may find it less difficult to trudge
and I've been harmed in so many ways for what I inevitably shall be
