there is an MMO i play on called The Endless Forest. it is an online role-playing game that is more dedicated to the artistic representation than being "state of the art" or competitive. the creators have made it very clear that they will never sacrifice the artistic integrity of their game simply for good reviews. you play a Deer - a magical creature with the body of a deer but the face of a human, much like the creature in Princess Mononoke. you can cast spells on your fellow Deer that will change their pelt color, or their antlers, or their mask, or their body-type.

there is no point to the game: no goals to reach, no competitions, no rules. you simply play in this world that the creators have lent to you.

for Halloween they always bring out the Big Zombie Deer - a character that they themselves play. He is at least twice as tall as the other Deer in the forest. He isn't mean or malicious, He simply roams the Forest breathing fog and darkness, and summoning swarms of bats.
