Aww, thanks man UuU I think more than any sudden improvement in skill, the last couple pieces have just been fun experiments with different process.

Working out the forms and anatomy in 3D model form has been really educational (and super fun), and then having a lit 3D model makes working out the lighting and color way easier. And then it was cool to try for a more naturalistic, less thick-paint style this time around. Wound up using a bunch more brushes than normal, though that's not saying much considering most of the pieces I've done in the last year or two have been like 90% all painted with the same brush 9u9

Thanks so much, dude! Playing around with sculpting my figures in 3D before painting has been a huge help in working out the lighting (aka totally cheating <3). Also trying to get better about paying attention to color temperature in highlights/shadows.

Mmm...that flower vibrancy and and color combo is downright scrumptious...also, that hair texturing and deceptively effortless, yet utterly perfect light splotching...and such a broad, comforting rogue of a character! Feel free to ignore as a personal preference, but I'm not sure how I feel about lips...

Thanks, buddy! Yeah, I think I'm most pleased with how simple I was able to keep things while still putting across what I wanted to put across -- I can tend to overwork my paints till they're stiff, and that was a specific area of focus this time around <3

And awww, I like bear lips! Bears are just so lippy! When they do that thing where their lips just go all flappy I think it's really cute <3 And speaking of cute, yeah, this particular bear is a super hunk-buddy, for sure UuU
