A painting that was not originally inspired by the movie "The Fountain", but as it progressed it reminded me so much of it it became a huge influence in the final product. Summer 2008.

This was mostly done with different colour inks. The blue was acrylic-based, and the brown of the tree was india ink mixed with a sepia-tone dye. I think I used some watercolours too. I used a fountain pen to etch some lines into the paper to make the inks deeper, but mostly this was painted. The white is sharpie paint pen, drawn and painted with while wet.
