Continuing my set of portrait commissions, here is the first of my two 'mythics', Nicron the anthro parrot-gryphon!

Half blue-yellow (well, purple-orange) macaw parrot and half white lion, he's an interesting blend of a brightly coloured top and a more muted bottom. As ever birds flock together and some of the company he keeps means he's often getting himself in to all sorts of trouble.

Created in 2005, I've always had a fondness of parrots and in particular macaws after reading the book 'Harry's Mad' telling the story of a boy who inherits a wise cracking English speaking macaw from his late American uncle. So it was no surprise that when I found an avian form for myself, it manifested as one of them! Or mostly anyway. The more gryphony aspects came about over time and started off as being half Poison-Bunny before I eventually settled on a more traditional lower-half species if not so traditional colouring.
