What you might try with the lettering is a cut-and-paste-- print out and paste in the lettering. That's what I did on my comics for many years before I switched to fully digital lettering.
One time I did a mind-control page from an old comic for him. The guy in the comic was asking the mind-controlled minions to do banal things like shine his shoes and get him coffee. I had to resist messing with the dialogue and having him say things like : "Your ATM password and card, now!" and "On your knees and gimmie a blowjob!"
