The picture on the left is of my dragon model's eye socket and old eye texture BEFORE i had taken my Maya class...
the picture on the right is the same model as it looks now, with HEAVY modifications to the eye socket and eyelid (in the picture on the left, the eyelid is actually a separate object)
it seems i have improved no?
now, the model is in no way finished, but is making Loads of progress

Nice progress. I think you go in right direction. I was kinda bored and searched for some references for eye texture. Lots of nice snake eyes photos found by accident.
