Owning a dutch angel dragon doesn't mean it has to be officially approved by Ino herself.
As long as the design follows the rules on http://www.dutchangeldragons.com , everything should be ok! :)
The Angels Nest is just an official location providing designs that have been looked at by the creator before posting.
If you still wish to own a design that has been approved. There are lots of other designs that have been approved by archangels.
Archangels are the dutch angel dragons that you see on the website, who also help look at designs for approval. ^^

I mean I'm not sure what else you are expecting, they do start at $10 so it's not like it's the nests fault. People like what they see, it's not just about being ino approved but the nest has made a name and people know it means you are paying for high quality so they feel happy enough to pay for it.
Because if you haven't noticed Kwik spends a lot of time on these, heart and soul goes into making these. Making quick little adoptables is honestly tacky. These are top quality designs and you can even save and be patient or find something else.
People always complain, they complain about having/not having autobuy, complain that people who have money bid on them blah blah. If poor Kwik pandered to every one they would be free and made daily in the 100's.

and as discussed before, furry art is cheap. In real life you pay thousands for architecture and even millions for things like modern art.
Look quit your bitching as this is the second time (and goodness knows how kwik puts up with it) and have some respect.
I have two, one I made myself and one was a gift-I also live paycheck to paycheck but manage not to keep whining about it on other artists pages who also live paycheck to paycheck depending on how well their art sells that week. Stop being so god damn selfish.

and you are the one being picky.
There's many up for adoption by other people that are actual dutch angel dragons, as I said before there is a facebook group.
They may not look perfect but even the adoptables that are just coloured line art work and then you can just pay an artist to redraw it for you, simple.

You can also have them checked and approved by designated admins.

Have you tried to see if you can get a design commissioned for you? The Facebook group is SUCH a great place for something like that. There are tons of people that are willing to design DAD for a small fee. I even saw someone make a new member one for free. Please don't assume there is only one place.
Our small DAD community is full of amazing artists and people willing to help others become apart of our family. Don't give up. Network with others and please ask around.

There are plenty of DAD designs out there, its not the artist's fault you can't afford
theirs and you refuse to compromise. So what if the adopt isn't accurate to DAD
anatomy? As long as the design is solid you can commission another artist later
to draw an accurate piece. All designs/refs should be for is getting the idea and design
across anyway. You may not think of yourself as whining but you are. Please stop.
You are being very disrespectful to the artist.

It might not be "whining", but it definitely IS complaining. You could easily go to said people you have commissioned
in the past and ask them to make a DAD customized just for you with what you want. As I'm sure many have told you,
YOU CAN own your very own DAD and do not NEED to buy one from the Angel's Nest.
Getting upset over people that can spend the money on a design from the Angel's Nest doesn't mean you should shame
them for their choices and claim it unfair. Some people value art enough to pay the prices that are high. Hell, the auctions start at $10.
In the real world designing industry custom design goes for thousands of dollars. You can find more information about that in the link provided.

I highly suggest going to the DAD Facebook and other art groups to put out feelers for some customized work.

Wow.... You are literally the idea that's destroying the world.
"I can't afford it, I want it, change the rules so I can have it"
Your entire argument devalues what Kwik does here. As for "normal folk" no, normal folk progress slowly up the ladder via hard work, they see things they want and they strive to achieve them. I didn't just walk out of my parents house one day into a magical land of financial plenty, I suffered, sometimes pretty horribly. Along the way I lost my sense of entitlement(along with a lot of the hearing in my right ear..), and found skills/knowledge which helped get me where I am. Nobody lowered their standards or prices or costs for me, and as such o value everything I've achieved, because I had to claw my way to everything. I can look at every possession and tell you exactly how many hours of my finite life I sacrificed to get it. Guess what, the artist is sacrificing their life to produce this art, they do it so they can turn that time, of which they have a finite, unknown amount, in exchange for money so they can eat, drink, drive, go to the movies, have sunset picnics with those they love, buy that new -(whatever)-, and every other wonderful microcosm of human existence. When you ask for the prices to be tempered to your means, for them to accept less than they can get for that time, you are literally demanding they sell you a slice of their life for less than its worth. Why? Because you want it?
This will of course not reach you at all, but it's my standard issue reply to people like yourself.
