Never Satisfied w/ Your Work [Kristein]
Sigh...
It never mattered how much time she put into a painting. Nor did it matter the subject, the landscape, the colors, the mood...none of it ever mattered.
She still couldn't capture it. Maybe she was fooling herself to think that looking for it in the paintings was worthwhile. Maybe she'd never find it again, or maybe she'd stumble across what she was missing...had been missing...for years now.
Still, now was no time to be dwelling in the past, if she were to ever find herself so that she could still salvage her future. She looked one last time at the finished piece before setting it to finish drying, then downed another cup of coffee before getting back to another piece. It'd be her 3rd day straight awake, but she was in no mood to stop. She'd eat if her hands started to shake, and break for the restroom or to stretch, but nothing could pull her away for long while she was focused. It was time to get back to work.

I really love Edith. She's just...a very interesting character. She's not very happy and her life can be pretty rough at times. She's tough on herself and she's not social, and the comforts of life bring her little happiness. But she's determined and feverishly focused, she's immune to the opinion of others, and her sadness is just so...idk...it's hard to explain. Suffice it to say, I really love this character, and also this piece! <3
