Very powerful! The fur is shaded like plates (like a dragons scales) and that makes him look monstrous and robust! I think it fits well. What I want to point out is that the shading may be too dark at points. The horns for example - it looks like a too radical change from lighted to shaded. Also your lines show a certain unsteadyness, but that will get better with practice and time (this was intended to be sketchy anyway, right?). In terms of composition I'd let a bit more space below the paw at the bottom. Not much though. Just some "breathing space".
And good job with the paws and the snarl! I always have trouble with that expression. .-.

I appreciate the criticism :D I know it'll take me a good while to reach a point where I think my art is pretty good, so any tips and tricks are welcome :) (also I try to avoid doing a proper line art, trying to go for pictures where a line art isn't really needed, so that's why it's always sketchy if I draw one in ^^ I enjoy drawing it sketchy, its easier to change or scrap if its wrong.)

What i do is fill the linework with color, then put the lineart as clipped layer above, reduce it's opacity and then make another clipping layer to paint details above. Your lineart will still support but the painting aspect would be in the foreground. Maybe it works for you to as transition, in case youdI'd not try already.
