AAAAH this news makes me incredibly happy, even though I'm neither gay nor American. But this is a pretty monumental step in history towards a more accepting, loving, and diverse future.
So I thought I'd channel some of my excitedness into a toony little pic for this event. yay!!

Not trying to be negative. Trust me, I've very happy about the news. But people shouldn't think this is the end of the fight when people are still legally allowed to be fired or denied a job/home for being gay/trans. As I said, this is absolutely an important victory, just not the final one.

he does have a small point though, just like your point is also right in the sense that this is also important
Though, if Donald Trump runs America, everything could be ruined (since he anti-gay)

Yay! the raccoon husband and I aren't in legal limbo anymore! We got married in our home state of oregon in January and if the decision had gone the other way we'd be in a weird place.
(looking at your pic the first thing I thought was 'what's next? Bird's marrying Cats?')

I am glad for what has happened but sadly, I have to say it was done wrong, to force something like this on preacher who dose not thing that gay wedlock is even right dose infringe on the freedom of religion inside of the bill of rights, I do salute the men who did this but i fear of the out rage we will see over something like with from people here in the states.
Nobody's forcing preachers to marry gay couples; the law simply must recognize marriage between two people of the same gender and to allow them to get married in the first place. Frankly, I don't get why any gay couple would go to a homophobic clergyman anyhow.
However, I must add that while people of any religion can refuse to perform a marriage ceremony for gay couples, that doesn't mean the backlash against them for doing so is "forcing them" to do anything. People have every right to criticize something they don't agree with, and if the church gives into the pressure and performs gay marriage ceremonies against its own conscience, it's their own problem.

I don't think that a gay couple would go to a peacher and force them to do that, they'd more likely just find another preacher. But I guess they COULD force them, if they wanted to. Maybe we should stop feeling bad for homophobic people, or if the preachers aren't adult enough to let others have their happiness, maybe they should find another job.
No one is forcing anyone honestly, because no one would go to a preacher that is anti-gay in the first place. Kim Davis however, she needed to do her government job instead of complaining about gay couples getting marriage papers in a state that allows gay marriage
