This is a weapon I have wanted for many years, the official assasination submachinegun of Red Guards everywhere, The Czech VZ-61 Skorpion. It's a semi-auto version, but still way cool. Special thanks to Shep, who puzzled the thing out, and cajoled me into buying the gun as a kit at the Phoenix SAR show a few years back.
basic specs: Caliber in 32 auto, feed is either 10 or 20 round magazines, semi-automatic or for you Kalifornians, self-loading. Both kit and new semi auto receiver are Czech made, so you know it's quality! Later, I will get the Federal paperwork done so I can put the original folding stock back on it.

The line I used was from Oingo Boingo, one of the few cool things from the 80's...
Insects make me scream and shout, they don't know what life's about, they don't have blood, they've got too many legs, they don't even have brains in their heads, insects make me want to want to.............dance
I bought the receiver thru a friend who owned a gunstore until last week, for $190.00 (whatta deal others sell them for $600.00)
and all the spare parts I needed (again way cheap on spare parts) from Czechpoint-usa's website. there are way fast and great folks to deal with. I have five 20 round mags and a single 10 rounder, made so one could carry it holstered.
They were originally designed for crews of armoured vehicles, who would have trouble carrying and deploying full sized rifles.
But is a hoot to shoot!
(I have 4 pistols in .32)
Congrats on your buy.
As you commented below, I gotta get away from the Peoples Democratic Republic of Kaliforniastan . . .
Of course, we can't have them in Kalifornia...
I've wanted one forever myself, but will most likely have to settle for the AEG airsoft version.

I miss my weapons x.x
NY is kinda... like the east coast California.
I'm sure you wouldn't mind looking after something :P
You could play with my semi-auto AUG!
...are extended mags legal here?

you'd then (with the stock unfolded) grasp it below the cosking pieces.
I gotta apply to the BATFE to get it registered as a short-barreled rifle, pay them $200.00 for the priveledge, and get fingerprinted and photographed, then when it's all done and I have the paperwork, I can ship it off to get the wire stock put on. Right now, even without the means of attatching the stock that came with the kit, I may not be in possession of the stock. It should go pretty fast as I already have an SBR Yugoslavian M-92 Krinkov AK.
Normally I'd stick to knives, but this...
This has flavor.
I have almost as many knives as guns, and almost as many flashlights as knives, et cetera, ad nauseum....
My daily carry knife is a Benchmade Blackwood designed Skirmish.
I want one too, but i am not sure what I should buy. I have the choice between a Samopal VZ-26 or the VZ-61.
