Endless Realms bestiary - Gunung-utan
Bestiary artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
A boreal critter created to help populate mountainous and subarctic regions. I can definitely see this creature being more ambivalent and unpredictable in disposition - peaceful and inquisitive in one instance, and furiously hostile in another :b I was mostly inspired by orangutans and baboons for this guy, except instead of being a "forest person" in Malay, he's a "mountain person" instead :)

That's a neat one! Certainly would have spiced up some of the mountain adventures I had been on. Never seemed to have enough random encounters in the wild mountains.
Depending on how big these guys are (he doesn't look small) I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to run into a fiercely territorial tribe of them!
