My mom used to sit me in her lap and play the first one on Genesis when I was a child. She'd play all the way through and I was just in awe of her skills. When I was older, my dad used to allow my brothers and I to shop at the big toy store here when we got good grades. You got more money based on how many A's you got. I went in one day and found a sonic comic after already being obsessed with him because of my mother and that started that whole thing for years and years.
My mom's the one who started my obsession. She passed away a couple weeks ago, but I still have the tattoo of old school sonic with her birthday on my arm. I got it a couple years ago~
