The last month or so had been fruitfil for the clan; plenty of fat zebra and gazelles that could not outrun them, easy to take down. Even the lions has grown lazy, too busy resting off their own glutting to protest the hyenas as they had their share.
The clan matriarch waddled along, her stomach distended almost to ground level from being filled with zebra flesh, gurgling and sloshing as the movement of her body sent its soupy innards swishing about. A belch escaped her lips as she observed the Savannah around her.
Her clan mates lay sprawled and content on the grass, each one stuffed full to bursting, gurgling away at their feasts. The matriarch grinned as she eyed up a lower ranking female, eyes glazed over in pleasure from the swell of her abdomen.
Settling down atop her favorite rock, the matriarch rolled onto her side and allowed her bloated belly to churn, warming in the midday sun. A nap to sleep it off would do wonders, after all, they were prospering.
