Thought I'd submit a better picture...
My '73 Buick Electra with a 455 built big block. Mild cam, Edelbrock Performance RPM intake, 750 Holley, straight pipe, and a few other things. Scored it for $800, and put it back together from a guy's backyard, then drove it back home. Powered windows, powered locks, etc. Gonna hopefully be putting in a simple, decent stereo system in soon. I use this old car as my daily, and it's a lot fun. It gets a lot of looks, especially being straight pipe...sounds like a drag car going down a 35mph road lol. It's a lot of fun, and pretty reliable. Still doing little things here and there with it, but I plan to slowly restore it to (mostly) original spec/look. I personally absolutely -love- the hub caps that were kept (reasonably) safe. They look pretty good...

Glad you decided to restore it rather than doing the engine swap you had planned.

I've come to the conclusion if the car ends up being way too much hassle to deal with, then yes, I'll be saving the engine, and parting out, or selling the car as just the body without the trans or engine. However, so far, the car has been pretty good to me. I have to fix little things here and there, and do some beyond-normal maintenance on it right now seeing as it is is old -and- used, but so far, it's been a good purchase. I plan on keeping it for a long time, and restoring it to a (mostly) original condition.

I'm really sorry to hear that >: I see the drivetrain is still good; should try and reuse it! I rebuilt the engine and nearly everything under the hood in this. I'm hoping I never have this problem though...everything is new under the hood.
