I think Franky's one of those character that undeniably loved and respected even if he's not your "favorite" persay. While he's definitely up there, my two main favorites are Usopp and Brook. I'd say Brook, but Usopp wins out of longevity for me. Sanji's a close third, he and Brook are the characters I osplay in my personal crew. I've practiced Brook's laugh so much now that I actually laugh that way naturally if something hits me just right.... and just to promote myself a little, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk07_5dQIBs that's me (as Brook obviously) and part of my crew at a con a few years ago

Aaah okay. That's a nice cosplay! And I also love Brook but I will admit his timeskip redesign is the only I don't like a lot,I just loved the simple "skeleton in a suit + afro" he had going before. Franky's been my favourite before and he is now. Sanji and Chopper are tied for second I think.

And on that note,your cosplay choices make absolute sense X3 I mean anyone can cosplay what they like but it personally irks me when the bodytype doesn't match - which coincidently leads to the fact I couldn't cosplay anyone. Well maybe Teach.

See, Brook's made me really happy. Because he's such a goofy character, he needed to have a big, garish outfit to reflect that! I always felt he looked a little too bland beforehand! I mean, c'mon... 'dat shark guitar! That sold it for me. To be honest though, my favorite outfit he's had so far is the Dressrosa one, where he's in the magenta trenchcoat!

Honestly, Franky's new look REALLY bothered me when I first saw it. Like you with Brook, I felt he design was fine the way it was, it wasn't until recently that it's grown on me to actually liking it more and the soul reason is the constant changing hair! I despised the shaved head, but once the pomp returned I was okay, then when he started making insane shit like stag beetle and flintlock rifle hair... the world was right once again XD I loved that scene in Enies Lobby where his hair changed due to the drinks and always wished Oda played that up more, so I'm happy that's the case now.

Out of them all, Sanji's new look bothers me the most. Not that I dislike it, he has a good, solid look just... all he got was a hair flip and more facial hair. Personally, I accept his outfit from the Pirate Warriors games as his official time skip look. It's basically the same outfit, but much more polished up and nice, which is really all Sanji needs is to gain more swag. To me it's the perfect looking upgrade for him. The two best 2Y looks though hands down are Usopp and Zoro though!

And hey, if you can rock a good Blackbeard, do it! I commend anybody that accepts that they're big and does characters that fit that. There are characters I'd like to do, but lack the muscle or girth, while admittedly my body fits much more characters out there, I'm also a dime a dozen in that department. Whenever you find that one guy that rocks a big character outfit, it's awesome. There's this really awesome Blackbeard we've seen a few times that does a great job, my friend as Luffy just ran up and "punched" him and the guy rolled with it (literally and figuratively) and just busted out the laugh and gave this big Blackbeard speech. We told him whenever we see him again we wanna give him a cherry pie lol

Well I can totally see why Franky's redesign would bother A LOT of people. I personally like shaved heads,but also expected something to happen with it since,as you said,his hair was kinda part of his cyborg getup with the changing styles and such. But the huge arms and such while still remaining on his tiny legs - I love it. Also nipple lights,much more frequent lasers and of course the Iron Shogun mode <3

I agree with Zoro however,he has such subtle changes and still they're more than enough to make him look even more badass. The bright and ostentatious look works for Brook considering how he spent the last years,I guess I just really liked the plain getup he had before.

And with cosplays it's always an issue for me,because so many characters are impossible to impersonate. Like..you would need to be so huge and weirdly shaped to ACTUALLY cosplay Teach or Doffy X3 I guess apart from the height it works at least. If I would ever actually cosplay someone from One Piece it would probably be Bepo or someone else that is both big and has "inhuman" features,even though that would make the costume even more elaborate.

When it comes to thinks like that, I really don't even pay attention to them. Height is such an irrelevant thing for cosplays. Hell, I'm not 9 feet tall and I still do Brook. Our Franky is really good and no one has that massive upper body with tiny legs. With One piece, the characters are so outlandish that, so long as you settle for the more reasonably human shaped characters one can accept that you're doing t as well as humanly possible. While Blackbeard's proportions are impossible in terms of how he's draw he can still be easily translated into a more human shape, it's not a character like Kuma or even worse, Gecko Moria XD

Aw come on,don't mock the pale lettuce man X3 But yeah I totally understand that. Especially with Oda's characters there is no way you can depict them at their actual height or body type without using stilts and elaborate costumes. I guess it's just a little pet peeve for me that I really would love to see them in the actual size portrayed in cosplays. That would be an awesome con X3

I agree and don't take that the wrong way I've actually wanted to do an accurate Moria for a long while. I have an idea of how to do it, but actually doing so is the issue lol I also want to do Ivankov with a giant, prosthetic winking head XD

Haha,Ivankov would look awesome. Like a huge bobble head X3 And I personally like Moria a lot,but didn't really take that as serious offense,no worries.

I did Ivankov before, but I wanna do it with a big head lol and I didn't talk it as such XD Moria's one of my favorite villains, his look, while goofy, was also very cool and I love his laugh. His power was really awesome. He's one of the few characters in the series that has spent the most time learning their power and making it do things it probably shouldn't. The whole general look and spoopiness of his arc was awesome too, plus it was when Book arrived, so yeah, I loved Thriller Bark and Moria

I know right? I always thought he would probably be one of the strongest around,if he wasn't such a lazy bum,because of his wicked fruit power X3 But maybe we get him back in fighting shape at some point.

I really liked how it all went down, he was a great example of relying too much on a power. While it was great and he knew how to use it, once you finally managed to get up to him, he couldn't do much. We saw in that brief flashback for Strong World he used to actually be fit so who knows haha. I have this theory that the original 7 Warlords represent the Seven Deadly Sins

Well he couldn't do much at that moment,because he got lazy. But in theory I think his ability to switch places with Doppelmann is even better than most logias,especially if you consider Haki (Even though I am not sure whether Haki damage to Doppelmann would transfer to him or not).
The Sin theory seems to work for the most. I am not sure how Jimbei fits into that though,because Pride is clearly taken up by Doffy or Croc X3
