Art Classes/Mentorship OPEN!
HEY GUYS! I was so excited to see that quite a few of you would be interested in learning from me. :) I've done a lot of thinking, and I've decided on three different tiers depending on what you'd like.
STARTER - $20 - I speak with you personally one-on-one and review your body of work, offer you critique, and give you some guidance on how to achieve your goals. (approx. 1 hr in length)
GROUP CLASS - $20/mo I add you to an exclusive group via email where I create weekly in-depth lessons to guide you closer to your goals step-by-step. Every week I assign a small project on the weekly topic, and at the end of the week I review it. It has THREE PHASES, each taking a month in length.
PERSONAL MENTORSHIP - $100/mo - I work with you consistently on a one-on-one basis, walking through each phase and offering you my personal guidance along the way.

Yes it's $20 a month. :) I'll do it in rounds of 3 months that covers drawing, colouring/shading, and composition. After the 3 month round, I go back through the topics again but with different assignments to really solidify understanding for those who are returning for a second round.

All I need for the session is a link to your body of work if it's posted online, and/or two specific pieces of yours that I can critique and redline.
Also if you could find maybe 2-3 works of art or artists whose work you really admire and hope to someday achieve their level, link those too!

I'll be free until 5:30 atlantic today, but if today's not good for you we can either figure something out or I can just write you a giant note/email with all of my suggestions and we can communicate that way. :)

As much as I'd love to have a one-on-one with you, I have a feeling our schedules won't match up, so notes/e-mail may be best. We'll see how it goes by the time we get there though. Primarily it's going to be non-specific so it doesn't matter what materials you're using. I will probably be talking about layer effects and things specific for digital software for certain colouring techniques but I can definitely explain alternatives for traditional stuff.
I'm pretty sure I can record, I'll have to find out the details of that and let you know, but if you aren't available at the time of the email it'll be in your inbox and you'll have access to it whenever :)

For the group you can stay for as money months as you'd like. It takes three months to get through the three phases but you can repeat as many times as you'd like with different assignments to keep you improving.
For personal it's 100 a month but you can do more than one month of course :)

Hey, there! I'm here right now to tell you I am interested in this opportunity, however I have no money whatsoever to do this. My family is struggling in real life, and I am just lucky I got this Toshiba Windows 8.1 Touchscreen Laptop due to me wanting to take GED Classes. It has a few errors regarding certain functions but it can be dealt with later in the future. Also, the reason I have internet right now is because of my neighbor being able to lend their service out to us with great kindness, god I owe her one, because I can do the things I love upon here.
Continuing on, like I said I'm very interested into this because I only have a talent in writing, when it comes to artistic skill even for my life I can kiss my last breath goodbye. My proportioning is a huge mess, and whenever I try to draw something by seeing it, it either ends up a catastrophe or where I get frustrated and quit with what progress I made, and then I go online to my favorite games my mood for drawing forever ruined the days I do.
Most artists don't do things like this, and when I note ones I want to become a student of they say their art skill is not at all good or that they can't teach me online that you can only learn by seeing and drawing, repeatedly, well once I saw you were giving out lessons I'm like I guess they lied to me without hurting my feelings, however continuing the problem is I noticed it was not free, which kinda brought me a sight of hopelessness in accomplishing my dream to become a writer and artist, making me say the thing below.
"Ugh! I want to learn art so I can start doing comic books or something, but obviously no one will be able to help me into training my artistic skill level of complete and ABSOLUTE zero."
In this message, I mean no harm, no sadness, no feeling sorry, no attitude, no trying to bribe, I am just trying to find someone and describe my issue to them. Yes, it may be sad or something but please and I mean PLEASE don't feel anything, life is life, nothing can happen you have to live it on, if you want to feel sorry, feel sorry for the people over in Africa because I care so much their government is hurting them I wish to drop off personally crate loads of canned foods with the peel back cantop, only so they can eat. I'm a very nice and kind-hearted teenager, and seeing those issues occur hurt my feelings. As well as I noticed this world is becoming way to judgemental and cruel...what happen to everyone being respectful and accepting I think a few years back maybe five to seven years ago where in Florida it was all nice and dandy...
To wrap this up, I think I held onto you to long in this message, I am sorry to waste your time with me and my onward chanting, however I thank you A BUNCH if you read this, I plea that you hit me up in private with a note, or reply to this here regarding my issue, and if you can fix it.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Unfortunately I can't really help you other than to tell you to study your butt off if you really want to improve. My service is only to provide guidance, teach what I've picked up over the years and offer a sense of structure. But it's not necessary to have a mentor in order to improve.
Fortunately in this era there is unlimited information to be found on the internet, so maybe start with learning anatomy so you can draw your characters and take things one step at a time. You've got an abundance of information for free, so don't take it for granted!

This... This isn't exactly true.. I'm proof that "Practicing" (and damn do i hate that word wit ha bloody passion) constantly doesn't help everyone as i did that for 9 years... Not a single improvement was made. Not everyone can get better on their own and i Cannot learn unless in a hands-on interactive 1-on-1 scenario being actually taught.. I've just never been able to learn any other way even back in school, i had to be pulled aside and taught separate from the class.. (and to try and teach myself i tried every method of self-teaching from books and tutorials to videos, watching streams and tracing- which that last one made me feel nausea & made me wish to inflict harm on myself)
But.. On to why I'm here however.. I cannot help but wonder if you are still doing this.. And if so, I have many questions about the "PERSONAL MENTORSHIP" program you have going for 100 dollars a month.. Many Many questions as i'm quite.. well... there really are not words to describe my interest in it.. It goes beyond them for many reasons, one of which is severe mental/emotional struggle as well as the aforementioned inability to improve on my own.
(I DO hope that how i spoke in this post doesn't come out as negative.. I'm just in a very dark mindset right now and while on the verge of breaking down i searched for "art Lessons"
on FA hoping to find (far more preferably free due to personal beliefs about art - BUT with me still willing to pay) someone(if not multiple people) willing to indeed teach/mentor in how to draw/draw better. I swear nothing was meant to sound as if I'm attempting to throw punches.. I'm just.. I have very strong views on art and when i read that you told CoolLyrics to study his butt off.. Its honestly best if i don't really get into it. I'm just hoping this isn't taken negatively.. The way i speak and how i word things have been taken the wrong way in the past.. i AM interested in your "MENTORSHIP" Plan and if you're ok with it, id like to speak with you about it possibly in Telegram or Discord. Depending on how things are done and/or how far they go as well as how much is put into said-Mentoring, i may even be willing to pay more if not also tip too.)

Awesome! Depending on your level I would maybe start with the starter package for now so I can highlight the major issues in your work and then tell you how to improve each of those issues (as well as a thorough critique and redline of up to two images of yours).
If you feel like you know what you need to be doing but you feel overwhelmed without structure, guidance and motivation, the group one is definitely for you.
