When Bill Veeck engineered his famous stunt of sending the midget (archaic term) Eddie Gaedel up to bat in a St. Louis Browns game, I remember that someone calculated that Gaedel's strike zone wasn't much bigger than a baseball (Veeck claimed it was 1 1/2 inches high).

Can you imagine the size of Herb Squirrel's strike zone? You'd have a conga-line of squirrels rounding the bases just like Gas House Gorillas in "Baseball Bugs."

Now that I think of it, at least the squirrel here ended up in a better place than a bird that once confronted Randy Johnson. On the other paw, one could argue the bird ended up in a better place...
